Slow Cooker Chickpea Soup

This is my go to chickpea soup recipe.
This recipe was inspired by Dr. Oz's Belly-Blasting New Year's Soup.

2 carrots, peeled and diced
2 celery stalks, diced
1/2 package musrooms, chopped
1/2 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 can diced tomatoes
2 cups vegetable broth
1 cup water, optional
1 can chickpeas, rinsed
2 TBS chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cilantro
3/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp sea salt

Add all ingredients to a slow cooker. Cook on low 6 - 8 hours.
