I think this is my new go to chili recipe. My picky eater food critic likes it better cooked on the stove top than in the slow cooker.
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground turkey
1 small can V-8 juice
1/2 jar pasta sauce, I used Ragu's new Simply brand, Traditional flavor
1 cup water
1 can chili beans
1 can pinto beans
2 1/2 TBS chili powder
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp onion powder
3/4 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp sea salt
Brown the ground beef and ground turkey. Add the V-8 juice, pasta sauce, chili beans, pinto beans, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and black pepper. Cook on medium for 20 - 30 minutes until bubbly.
