Beef Stew Slow Cooker Recipe

A beef slow cooker recipe, which must have been good because it was gone within a few days. Usually I make a slow cooker recipe on Sunday and it lasts me all week. Not this time.

1 boneless beef chuck roast (~2 pounds), cubed
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cups water
2 cups peeled, cubed potatoes
5 medium carrots, cut into small pieces
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup frozen corn
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp thyme
1/8 tsp savory
5 tbs cornstarch
6 tbs cold water


Add all ingredients in order to slow cooker except the last 2. Cover and cook on low for 6 - 7 hours. Add cornstarch and cold water. Cook on high 30 - 45 minutes or until thickened.
